APCCSID 2018

The Asia Pacific Research Association on Curriculum Studies Inc. (APRACSI) successfully organized the 2018 Asia Pacific Conference on Curriculum Studies and Instructional Designing (APCCSID) at Crowne Plaza Hotel Manila Galleria, Quezon City, Philippines from October 29-31, 2018. Anchored on the theme "Program Evaluation and Educational Leadership: Innovations and Challenges," the conference aimed to tackle the ongoing wave of curricular and instructional reforms necessitating thorough evaluation. The first day featured three keynote speeches by esteemed experts, including Dr. Murray Print from the University of Sydney, Dr. Zongyi Deng from Nanyang Technological University of Singapore, and Dr. Richard Gonzales from the World Bank, along with plenary sessions. The second day of the conference highlighted four parallel symposia focusing on evaluation in basic education, teacher education, higher education, and security studies. The event concluded with 30 parallel paper presentations, a keynote speech by Dr. Andrew Wall from the University of Redlands, and additional plenary sessions. Notably, the second APCCSID mirrored the success of its inaugural conference, attracting over 300 scholars, researchers, and educators from the Asia Pacific region, establishing it as a noteworthy accomplishment in academic collaboration.
